FSI (Formula Solutions Inc) is a Board managed advanced composites manufacturing company located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

With an experienced team, FSI assists customers to ramp to Production must faster and with more innovative solutions than other composite companies.

​

Services provided by FSI include Engineering Design, Tool Design and Low Cost Build, Certification, Qualification, Parts Prototyping, Low and Medium Volume Production – both inhouse and outsourced to optimize cost, quality, and speed to delivery.

 

FSI is considered to be the expert in Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Moulding (VARTM).  Certified to AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 for design and manufacture of mechanical composite parts and assemblies for aerospace applications, FSI has the manufacturing and business processes in place to satisfy customer requirements.  The FSI Quality Policy and Certificate is available here.

Gerry Kavanaugh

Gerry Kavanaugh is the CEO of FSI.  Prior to FSI he founded and ran Apex for 15 years which he grew to a $10 million company making carbon fibre parts primarily for the aerospace industry.  Apex was bought by Rampf from Germany in 2016.  Gerry continued as President for two more years and left in 2018.

Rob Brown

Rob Brown is the Operations Manager of FSI. Prior to FSI, Rob co-founded Viryl Technologies, global technology leader in manufacturing equipment for the resurgent vinyl record industry and grew the company to $10M in revenue in just 3 years. Prior to Viryl, Rob acquired 15 years of product development, leadership, and customer service experience in the medical device (Sentinelle Medical, Inc.) and office equipment industries (Xerox Corp.) Rob graduated from the University of Toronto Mechanical Engineering in 2000 and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

Alf Zuener

Alf Zeuner is an engineer, founder, and long time President of AXYZ International of Burlington growing it to over $50 million and the largest industrial CNC router manufacturer in Canada.  He recently sold most of his stake in AXYZ and retired as President but continues as a director and technical advisor.

Mark Amlinger

Mark Amlinger is recently retired from Honeywell systems holding several executive roles.  He has a wealth of experience in the aerospace business.

Joerg Wiebe

Joerg Wiebe is a long time businessman and holds a number of business and property assets. He was the majority partner in Apex, a Burlington carbon fibre manufacturer in the aerospace business, for 12 years before it was sold to Rampf in 2016.

James Peters

James holds an MBA.  He was long time President of Hadrian Manufacturing in Burlington building it up to over $70 million in revenues.   He is the largest single shareholder of Hadrian and is now Chairman of its board.

Andy Ketelaars

Andy Ketelaars is an Electrical Control Technologist, Software Programmer and former Owner/Operator of New Electric providing industrial electrical service in Ontario, Michigan, North Carolina and California.  Upon growing annual revenues to $50M, he sold his shares in the Canadian operations.
